Our missions
Commercial justice commission
The Commercial justice commission is committed to enhancing the effectiveness, and accessibility of commercial justice in Geneva. It advocates for the establishment of a dedicated Commercial Court in Geneva to handle complex commercial cases more effectively. It also champions the use of the English language in commercial proceedings before the Civil Courts of Geneva.
Swiss law commission
The Swiss law commission advocates for the use of Swiss law, known for its flexibility and reliability, in international business relationships. Recognizing the robustness of Swiss case law and institutions (particularly judicial), and their unique advantages, the Commission actively encourages international business players to choose Swiss law.
Law & digital innovation commission
The Law & digital innovation commission brings together law professionals – lawyers, in-house counsels and LegalTech entrepreneurs – to facilitate and accelerate the adoption of digital technologies within the legal professions and improve the understanding of their benefits and risks.
In-house counsel commission
The In-House Counsel Commission serves as a driving force for legal innovation in Geneva, aiming to elevate the strategic role of in-house lawyers in enhancing the city’s economic competitiveness and global influence. By supporting business legal professionals, the commission helps them navigate the intricate international landscape of industry-specific standards and regulations. Our mission is to highlight Geneva’s legal ecosystem, promote best practices, and position the city as a leading forum for dispute resolution.
ADR commission
The ADR Commission is a multidisciplinary think tank, promoting and advising on practical and appropriate dispute prevention and resolution strategies rooted in Geneva’s rich legal and diplomatic traditions. This includes tailored mixed-mode methods such as negotiation, mediation, early neutral evaluation, conciliation, adjudication, dispute boards, arbitration, and litigation. It includes a diverse group of experienced professionals—lawyers, in-house counsel, judges, arbitrators, mediators, and academics—alongside representatives from renowned organizations like WIPO, FIDIC, ASA and the Swiss Arbitration Centre, as well as top law firms, companies, and practitioners.
